All of the clips are from live performances, as I believe they truly capture the essence of my playing.
The clips which appear so far are from a University of Maryland faculty recital which I presented on February 19, 2006 in Gildenhorn Recital Hall.
My accompanist on all clips is Lisa Emenheiser, whom you can find on the web at www.lisapiano.com

Who’s that guy with the long hair?
You should put up the Blue Topaz from ETW.
Darn Hippies!
Nice quality on the recordings. I thought that you didn’t care for the Ritter George. What happened to change your mind?
I found this photo a few weeks ago and thought it might be good for a laugh. I had a pony-tail for a year or so in my early 30′s.
It’s true I am not a fam of the Ritter-George Concerto, but I think that since it is out there and students perform it, they should have opportunity to hear it performed by a professional. I am not sure if any recordings of this concerto exist, which is why I put it up in its entirety.
Beautiful playing, Matt. I especially love the “goo-ey” slurs in the Vaughan Williams.
Nice! You even make me like the Ritter George – a little…for a few minutes anyway…
and I’ll definitely have to pull out the Vaughan Williams again.
I even remember that ponytail!
Thanks for posting these. Wished I could have attended ‘live’, but these clips are the next best thing to it. I’ve played the piano part for the Vaughan Williams while my wife played the clarinet rendition. They are just wonderful pieces and it was nice to hear another ‘view’ of them.
